Lytle ISD adopted the final 2016-2017 budget on Monday setting up the district to move into 2017-2018 budget discussions with a deficit lower than the 2015-2016 budget. Lytle Community Center will turn into a blast from the past for some Lytle residents at the annual Paws for Summer event to be held on July 15. Somerset city council publicly addressed the reimbursement for the 2016 Washington D.C. visit by Councilman Harold Orosco for the first time. Somerset hired new reserve officers last Wednesday, but have yet to hire a new police chief to oversee the department.
Lytle Independence Day Lytle will hold its free Independence Day event on July 3 at 7 p.m. in John Lott Municipal Park. Somerset July 4th Event Somerset will host the community at its free July 4 event starting at 6 p.m. at the city park.
